Don West was the voice of Impact Wrestling for a while as he called matches and displayed his great salesmanship on television every single week. He has since left the pro wrestling world and he is now with 560 KPQ Radio in Washington. He had some very sad news to reveal.

Don West announced that he has been diagnosed with a brain lymphoma. He will be undergoing treatment. He is taking a hiatus from the radio station due to these health issues.

West issued the a statement on the News Radio 560 KPQ website to catch everyone up on what is going on with him right now. He seems to have a good attitude about the situation which is very important at a time like this.

Don West here to tell you about how disappointed I am not to be talking about the Seattle Seahawks, the Mariners, the Wenatchee Wild and everything else that we love to talk about every day on the Don West Show.

Many of you have wondered where I have been and why the show is on hiatus. So I want to share this news directly with you. I have been diagnosed with a brain lymphoma and will begin immediate treatment.

I want to thank my wife Terri for her love and support, my family and everyone that works at Cherry Creek Media and KPQ. I also want to thank the Don West Show’s incredible sponsors and my friends for all the prayers that are coming my way. I am praying the chemotherapy will help me heal faster and hopefully I’ll be back on the radio soon.

I can’t wait until this is all over and I can be back with you all again, I love you all!

Don West”

Jeff Jarrett sent out a blast when he saw Don West’s sad news. Double J tweeted out: “Prayers up for my great friend, Don West! Just hung up the phone with him and he’s in great spirits and ready to take on this challenge!”

We’re wishing Don West the best during this trying time. His words entertained millions of fans and he has tons of people behind him for support.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
