Aleister Black Explains His Reaction To Zelina Vega’s ‘Questionable’ WWE Release

Former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega was released from her contract on November 13 of last year as she did not abide by the company’s policy of banning third-party platforms. She opened an OnlyFans account after they issued the ban which was the final nail in the coffin.

Vega’s husband Aleister Black still worked with the company around the time of his release, but was largely absent from WWE television until his release earlier this month.

While speaking to Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, Aleister Black talked about Zelina Vega’s release from WWE, which he noted was for questionable reasons. Ultimately, Aleister Black was very professional about her release as it was something between the company and Zelina Vega.

“Two weeks before I came back and hit Big E, I sat down with Vince and he was like, ‘Are you ready?’ One week later, I’m sitting in the gym and I see a name on the phone calling me. It was a distinct voice and this person also didn’t understand why I was let go. It was a sense of relief. They let my wife go, under reasons that are questionable. Everything got sorted out and is fine, but they called me and said, ‘We understand this is putting you in a tough spot.’ Nope, this is my career, I spoke about it with her and this is business between you and her. Does Tom, her husband have an opinion on it? Sure. Does Aleister Black the professional? Nope. He’s ready to go to work and create. She agreed.”

As we exclusively reported earlier, Zelina Vega’s return is currently being discussed in the company and will see Vega make her return to the main roster and not NXT. We will have to see how Zelina Vega will fare once she makes her return to the company.
