WWE likes to lock down anything on their television programming that they can make a buck from. This includes funny catchphrases and other things they can market.

According to Heel By Nature, WWE has filed a new trademark with The United States Patent and Trademark Office for “Drip Stick.” This is something that John Morrison brought out during RAW this week. It looks like the Drip Stick is sticking around.

WWE filed a trademark for Drip Stick on May 31st and they registered it in to the database on June 3rd. The trademark included many characteristics of pro wrestling filings which includes marketing.

We’ll have to see if Johnny Drip Drip and his Drip Stick become a staple in WWE, but the company owns the name so they are prepared for anything. Then again, they can always drop the idea and the Drip Stick will become another trademark that the company doesn’t ever use.
