WWE released six Superstars this week, but those cuts are likely not over yet. Many people see the writing on the wall that Vince McMahon could be gearing up for a sale because they are slashing the bottom line in a huge way.

Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett were all cut today. Some of those people wanted to leave the company. It is not clear who asked for their release at this time. Obviously, there was a lot of shock among those firings.

Andrew Zarian said on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast that more releases are expected. This might not happen today, but the company is apparently not done cutting members of their roster.

“I would say some more cuts to be announced in the coming weeks…Expect some more cuts.”

The company used the reason of “budget cuts” with Superstars this time as well. They also elected to inform the entire roster about every release in very interesting way this time around.

WWE has a few high-dollar Superstars on their roster that they are not using. Many fans used examples like Jeff Hardy and others as people who WWE might cut next. No name has been confirmed as of this writing. Any talk of Keith Lee, Liv Morgan, or anyone else getting released is just a rumor at this point. Stay tuned.
