The IIconics, comprising Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, were one of the most popular tag teams in the WWE women’s division. However, they were split up for seemingly no reason and it ultimately led to their downfall.

The IIconics were released on the 15th of April 2021 as part of the WWE mass cuts and since then fans have been wondering which pro wrestling promotion they will call their homes next. They are now Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay respectively.

While speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, The IIconics talked about their future with Dave LeGreca and Bubba Ray Dudley. Lee and McKay revealed that it is a tough decision to decide whether they want to go to Impact Wrestling or AEW as both companies have their own merits when it comes to the women’s division.

“It’s tough, because for example because I feel like we could help their women’s division. I feel like we just have that TV experience that we could bring to the division and help build that up. (sic) The with IMPACT, they have a women’s tag team division, a well established Knockouts division that we could easily slip into. I feel like we have a lot to offer both of them.”

It’s tough to figure out where you think would be the best fit, because we are wrestlers, but then we have heavy personalities and characters and we love that. So I think it’s just blending the two like we always have and just figuring out which company we would be better with, AEW or IMPACT.”

The IIconics have proven themselves to be a very talented duo and there is no doubt they will be a valuable asset where they go, whether it is AEW or Impact Wrestling. With their no-compete clause ending on July 14th, we will have to see which company the two will go to next.
