It’s Tuesday night and that means a brand new episode of WWE NXT for May 25th, and Ringside News has you covered with live play-by-play results coverage. Start time for NXT is at 8:00 PM EST. Match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below.

Tonight is set to be a massive episode of NXT, headlined by the NXT Championship rematch between Finn Balor and Karrion Kross! The two faced-off at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver and Kross emerged victorious, ending Balor’s lenghty reign as Champion. Tonight the Prince looks to reclaim his throne but he’ll have to achieve the seemingly impossible.

That’s not all however, Bobby Fish takes on Pete Dunne, Franky Money makes her debut, the NXT Women’s Champion will be in tag team action, and Cameron Grimes meets Ted Dibiase in a Million-Dollar Face-Off – which could be the best thing you’ll see all year. So there’s plenty to be excited about with tonight’s NXT and we want to hear your thoughts.

NXT

This week’s NXT opens with a video package for our NXT Championship main event. Cut live to the Capitol Wrestling Centre where Wade Barrett, Beth Phoenix, and Vic Joseph run down the card.

Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon Vs. Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai

We start with Gonzalez and Shotzi and Blackheart jumps on her back but gets slung off. Shotzi attempts a roll-up but Raquel stays up and throws her aside. Blackeart tags Moon, who attempts a pin herself but gets the same result. Gonzalez whips her to the ropes but Moon catches her with a Frankensteiner for two. Moon rolls the Champ up for a two. Gonzalez gets mad and chases Ember out of the ring and back in, then hits a body slam and tags Dakota for a double stomp.

Kai takes control but Shotzi tags in and slams her into the corner before hitting a slingblade and a senton for a two-count. Moon tags in for a standing moonsault and a two, then tags Blackheart and she applies a Cloverleaf. Raquel helps Dakota to the ropes and tags herself in for some elbow drops and a two-count. Raquel takes control as we head to the break.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and Moon is rallying against Gonzalez and hits double knees to the gut, followed by a facebuster. Moon wants to go up top but Kai stops her, then Raquel hits a big boot. Tag to Kai and Raquel throws her into a kick. Shotzi rushes in and kicks Gonzalez out of the ring, then Moon makes the tag and Blackheart hits lariats, an enziguiri, discus punch and a question mark kick.

Moon and Bleackheart want a double team but Raquel pulls Dakota away from them. Shotzi dropkicks Raquel, then Moon applies a modified STF to Dakota but Gonzalez returns with a big forearm to the chest. Raquel wants the one-hand powerbomb but Ember counters with The Eclipse, then she and Shotzi double-team Kai and get the pinfall!

Winners: Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon

After the match Raquel attacks Moon. Dakota beats on Moon while Raquel takes Shotzi outside and slams her into the barricade and the ring post a few times before throwing her onto the barricade.

Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa cut a promo about how they wanted the Tag Team Titles but Grizzled Young Veterans got in their way. Now they have their sights set on the GYV. Thatcher says he will enjoy breaking their limbs,

*Commercial Break*

Pete Dunne W/Oney Lorcan Vs. Bobby Fish

The match gets underway and Fish lands some kicks to the chest of Dunne and knees him against the ropes. Dunne fires back with a big forearm, then wrestles him down and lands some right hands. Dunne goes to work on the injured left arm of Fish but Bobby turns it around with an armbar of his own. Dunne breaks free but Fish kicks the Bruiserweight out of the ring.

*Commercial Break*

Dunne stands on Fish’s legs and slaps his back over and over. Pete grabs an arm and kicks Dunne in the face until he gets mad and rushes him into the corner. Fish kicks Dunne’s leg a few times and hits a dragon whip, then a spinebuster. Fish applies a sleeper but Dunne grabs the fingers to get him off, then jumps on his elbow! Fish rolls outside and Dunne goes after him but gets hit with a back body drop on the floor.

Dunne gets slammed into the barricade and put back in the ring but he attacks Fish when he re-enters. Dunne goes after the arm again but Fish hits an exploder into the ropes, then a flurry of knees to the gut. Dunne fires back and suplexes Fish before jumping on his fingers. Dunne runs headlong into a leaping knee from Fish for a near-fall. Dunne looks for an armbar but Fish holds on… until Dunne snaps his fingers. Fish rolls over and onto Dunne’s back where he forearms the back of his head. Dunne escapes an armbar and hits The Bitter End for the win!

Winner: Pete Dunne

After the match Lorcan comes in and poses with Dunne, then throws Fish into the ring post shoulder-first. Lorcan drags Fish under the bottom rope and stands on his chest while bending his arm backwards over the apron. Officials come down to make him and Dunne leave.

*Commercial Break*

Hit Row are in the studio and B-Fab says they’ve been putting everyone on notice. NXT is the land of opportunity and they’ve been shining bright. it’s time for Hit Row to go gold. Swerve says tick-tock, he’s gonna be watching the NXT Championship match real close. Adonis and Top Dolla talk about MSK, Legado Del Fantasma, and Kushida. Swerve then mentions Bronson Reed and says he’s like King Kong but they’re Godzilla. If you didn’t know, now you know.

Mercedes Martinez Vs. Zayda Ramier

The match gets underway and Mercedes slams Zayda down and takes a front facelock. Ramier breaks free and hits a dropkick followed by a European uppercut in the corner. Ramier gets caught in the corner but fires back with an enziguri for a two-count. Martinez lands a few suplexes, then catches Ramier with a spinebuster for a near-fall.

Mercedes continues the offence and whips Zayda to the ropes but misses a forearm and Ramier rolls into a rear naked choke. Martinez climbs to her feet and slams Ramier into the corner, then lifts her up top. Martinez grabs and tosses Ramier from the top rope across the ring, then hits a running knee and an air raid crash for the win.

Winner: mercedes Martinez

After the match the lights go out and a mist fills the arena, then red lights come on and Tian Shen comes on the big screen and suddenly Martinez’s hand has been marked.

Ted DiBiase is backstage talking to Toni Storm and starts walking. Robert Stone comes up and starts talking but DiBiase just throws money at him and laughs.

*Commercial Break*

Cameron Grimes comes to the ring and, before he can speak a word, out comes The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase. Grimes says he and everyone wants to know one thing: why? Grimes says he hasn’t always been rich, hasn’t always lived a lavish life. Suddenly he starts flaunting but DiBiase appears and starts making a fool out of him. Grimes says he looks up to DiBiase, he taught him that he could treat people terribly but still like him because he’s rich. He guesses it’s true, you should never meet your idol.

DiBiase says he likes Grimes and he thinks they’re a lot alike. Ted says the reason he put him through all that is because he sees himself in him and he needs guidance. So he’s here tonight because he’s looking for that one individual with all the right aspects. Grimes has it all, including the in-ring ability, but he’s lost his focus since becoming rich.

LA Knight comes onto the stage and says he sees a million dollar opportunity in front of him. He wants to lift the burden of searching from DiBiase. He’s a man who gets the job done, a perpetual motion machine of badassery. A man who didn’t strike it lucky with money but is walking, talking gold. Grimes tells him to say away because only millioniares are allowed in the ring. DiBiase says he can talk and Knight calls the fans incels.

Knight says DiBiase and him are the perfect puzzle pieces and can set the world on fire. Ted says he knows who Knight is and he’s so good he could be a mega-star in NXT. He’s got a million dollar body and mindset. Grimes interrupts and says he may look like a million bucks but he’s no Cameron Grimes. He gets in Knight’s face and tells him to get out of the ring or he’ll kick his ass to the moon. Knight attacks Grimes from behind and leaves him lying. DiBiase stands over Grimes and says “kid, you’re just never gonna get it” and laughs.

*Commercial Break*

Indi Hartwell is roaming backstage looking for Dexter Lumis. She runs into Ever Rise who are recording their show and starts arguing with them. Drake Maverick interrupts and says he saw Lumis in the room just behind Hartwell and she walks in to a room covered in creepy drawings. It shows him giving her the massage last week and a knife through Lumis’ heart. Hartwell is distraught and runs out.

Franky Monet Vs. cora Jade

The bell rings and they lock-up with Monet forcing Cora Jade to the corner. Monet mocks her and Jade hits her but Monet backs her into the corner and slaps her chest hard. Franky slams Jade into the middle buckle and hits a running knee to the back. Monet hits a hip attack and double knees in the corner and smiles.

Franky chops the chest again, then connects with a kick the gut, knee lift and a lariat. Cora fires back with a right hand, then a few more and a kick for a two-count. Monet catches her with a spear followed by a sit-out powerbomb. Monet screams at her and hits a Glam Slam for the win!

Winner: Franky Monet

Grizzled Young Veterans cut a promo in which they talk about Thatcher and Ciampa. They say they didn’t come to the other side of the world to be in petty rivalries, so they are done with them. The only team they care about is MSK and the NXT Tag Team Championships. Gibson says if MSK were wretling in his garden he’d close the blinds, so they’re looking forward to taking the titles.

*Commercial Break*

The NXT North American Champion, Bronson Reed, comes to the ring. Reed says it took him 14 years to get to this moment. And it wasn’t just 14 years of climbing, he fell and got back up countless times. He had many doubters who told him no but this is proof to anyone out there that you don’t have to take no as an answer. He says now that he is Champion, anyone looking for the title will be climbing a colossal mountain.

Legado Del Fantasma come out and pretend to cry. Escobar says it was a nice speech but he can’t relate because he was born a Champion. Escobar says something caught his eye last week and it was the North American Title. He is the emporer of lucha libre and he runs the bingo. He took the Cruiserweight Title and now he’s looking at the North American Title.

Escobar says he looks at the North American Title and he sees America and Mexico. Wilde pulls him aside and asks about Canada but Escobar says it doesn’t count. Escobar says it’s all about Mexico and that belt belongs to him, and he’s going to take it. Legado Del Fantasma look to surround the ring but MSK come running down to even the odds. Wilde gets superkicked by MSK and Escobar runs in from behind but gets slammed by Reed and Fantasma high-tail it.

*Commercial Break*

William Regal appears on screen and he says he’s incredibly excited for the main event but after this match we will need a new number one contender. So, next week, we will have a Triple Threat between Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, and Johnny Gargano to determine the challenger for In Your House. Also next week we will see MSK put the titles on the line against Legado Del Fantasma.

NXT Championship

(C) Karrion Kross W/Scarlett Vs. Finn Balor

The match starts and Finn goes for some leg kicks before taking a headlock. Kross shoots him off and connects with a shoulder. Balor punches him so Kross knees him and throws him outside. Balor rushes back in and hits Kross, then dodges him and connects with a dropkick to the knee. Kross rolls outside to regroup and slaps the apron in anger.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and Kross is in control of The Prince. Kross slams Balor into the corner and hits a back elbow. Kross stomps Finn and applies a chinlock in the middle of the ring. Balor fights up but gets cut off with a short-arm forearm. Kross wants another but Finn floats over into an abdominal stretch and attacks the ribs with elbows. Kross headbutts Finn and shoulders him repeatedly in the corner. Karrion attacks Balor’s back, then tosses him across the ring with a biel before landing a German suplex.

Kross lifts Balor for another suplex but Finn counters into a crossface. Balor kicks Kross a few times and hits a double stomp. Finn with chops and shoulders in the corner but eats another forearm to the back. Kross tosses Balor out of the ring and goes out himself but Balor traps him in the ring apron and attacks him. Balor waits for him to get free, then hits a big running kick.

*Commercial Break*

Balor and Kross trade hands back and forth but Karrion picks him up in a powerslam hold and runs him into the buckles before landing the slam for a near-fall. Balor rallies and hits an elbow slam but Kross kicks out at one! Balor tips him over and hits a double stomp but Kross snatches him in the Straightjacket. Balor flails and tries to get the ropes and eventually does. Kross takes Finn out of the ring and slams him into the barricade over and over.

Kross lifts Finn up in a powerbomb position and runs him into the barricade before taking him back into the ring. Kross wants another powerbomb but Balor fights back with a slingblade and knocks Kross out of the ring. Balor hits a dive over the ropes onto him… but Kross pops right back up and back suplexes him onto the announce desk! Kross gets back inside but Balor cuts him off with a kick and right hands. Balor tips him over and hits another double stomp, then a shotgun dropkick into the buckles.

Balor goes up top and jumps for Coup de Grace but Kross rolls out of the way. Kross runs Balor into the buckles before hitting another German suplex. Kross hits a Saito suplex and runs for the forearm to the back of the head but Balor rolls him up for two. Finn goes to the abdominal stretch again but Kros breaks away and drills him with forearm. Balor turns it around and hits forearms to the head, then applies the Straightjacket to Kross!

The Champion tries to turn it around but Balor transitions to a triangle choke. Kross fades and the referee lifts his hand, then goes to ring the bell but Kross holds onto him. Kross lifts Balor up and powerbombs him. Kross forearms Finn from behind, then again and stomps him over and over before appkying the Straightjacket and making Balor pass out.

Winner: Karrion Kross
