According to a report from PW Insider, WWE staff was scrambling backstage to get a show in order. It was said that there was “a lot of ripping up of the script of RAW all day before they went on air.”

On top of that, the first hour of the show wasn’t “set in stone” until about 45 minutes before the show even started. They obviously had a lot of things going on that Vince McMahon wanted to change.

There was yet again a lot of ripping up of the script of Raw all day before they went on the air, which led to quite a few rematches this week. A lot of the first hour of the show wasn’t set in stone until shortly (as in 35-45 minutes) before they went on the air tonight.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE had to throw out the Hell in a Cell card they booked to a great extent. Vince McMahon called for a lot of drastic changes to that event as well.

WWE featured a lot of longer matches during RAW this week. Many fans noticed this and there was a reason WWE went that direction. They needed to fill time on a show that they wrote at the last minute.
