CM Punk walked out of WWE, and he hasn’t looked back. AEW apparently sent him text messages to gauge his interest, but that wasn’t enough to do the trick either. CM Punk left the pro wrestling ring behind him in favor for other areas to apply his creativity.

Renee Paquette worked with CM Punk on WWE Backstage, and she remembers him while they were both on the road with the company. For Paquette, she just really wants to see The Second City Savior return to the ring.

“I think it’s just like anything else with WWE, you just never say never. We’ve seen people come back who none of us ever thought would return. I think Punk is somebody who falls under that category. End of the day, the guy is a wrestler. That’s who he is. I feel like in some capacity, I hope we get to see Punk wrestle someone someday.”

“At this point, I don’t think anyone cares where it is. Everyone just wants to see him get back out there. Tick Tock, brother. Let’s go. There’s always going to be rumblings. The fact is people just want to see him back wrestling, and whatever way that happens, if it ever does, I think people would freak. I’ll freak.”

CM Punk would certainly bring a ton of attention to WWE if they can convince him to make a return. It would take a lot of money and the right circumstances, because CM Punk has already held out this long.

You can also never say never in pro wrestling and CM Punk is also known for his surprising decisions. The big question is whether he really wants to make a return to the ring.
