Vince McMahon Wanted To ‘Shake Up’ WWE Pay-Per-View Schedule

WWE has a few options for SummerSlam, and it will reportedly take place on August 22nd. The location has not been locked down, although there are few interesting options.

According to Fightful Select, August 1st was another date that WWE toyed with for SummerSlam, but nothing has been confirmed as of this writing.

It was also reported that several locations have been discussed internally. Las Vegas is apparently “gaining a lot of steam” backstage. Phoenix is also an option, and a location in Texas is also being considered.

It was also reported that “Vince McMahon specifically wanted to shake up the pay-per-view schedule around WrestleMania.” At this point it seems that schedule is back to normal now.

It was not confirmed that Madison Square Garden is an option, but that was previously reported today.
