After the success of AEW’s first-ever house show ‘The House Always Wins’ event on April 9, AEW President Tony Khan mentioned that he will consider adding intermissions in AEW pay-per-views.

Khan took to Twitter and polled fans on what they thought of the possible implementation and the feed back wasn’t exactly in his favor. Many fans didn’t believe it would work out well. One fan in particular voiced his opinion against the idea, which Khan promptly noted on Twitter.

I was just curious what people thought because it got a good reaction at The House Always Wins. I’ll mark that down as a No vote for both of you then.

While speaking on the latest edition of Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan talked about the possibility of adding intermissions in pay-per-views. This time around, Khan seemed to have second thoughts about implementing the idea after seeing the mixed reaction.

“I don’t know if I’m going to do the intermission. I’ve gotten really mixed (reviews)…I might do long (video) packages in the show and maybe give a timer to when we’re back, but I don’t think it’s going to be a big break in the show. The packages are a big part of the show.”

However, Khan added that he wants to keep longer video packages on the show as a form of break from the action. AEW’s upcoming pay-per-view will be Double Or Nothing, which will be taking place on May 30. It will be the first AEW event to have full capacity since the COVID-19 pandemic started last year. We will have to see how the event will be received by fans.

h/t to Fightful for the quotes.
