WWE will often call up a Superstar from NXT to RAW or SmackDown and then that wrestler’s character will change. It is rather mind blowing for some how WWE can continually make that mistake.

“Characters matter, so why change them when they move from one brand to anther,?” Jimmy Korderas asked in a recent Reffin’ Rant. He spoke about how NXT Superstars have seen their characters change when getting moved to RAW or SmackDown. If you ask Korderas, this change is not needed.

“You know we’ve seen it with Keith Lee. We’re seeing it with Rhea Ripley right now. We’ve seen it with others across — Shayna Baszler is another one, Aleister Black is another one. I don’t understand why if it’s working in NXT then why do you have to alter it when you go to another brand? It’s the same company, the same audience, so why alter it?”

It was noted that a live audience might be missing to give WWE that feedback they need. Perhaps RAW and SmackDown getting a live audience back would give Vince McMahon that organic reaction he needs in order to make different, more effective, booking decisions.
