The Miz entered WWE with a big objective to become the best Superstar possible. He fought hard to achieve everything he has in the company, including World Title reigns. That surprised a lot of his haters along the way.

While speaking to Yahoo Entertainment, the A-Lister recalled how his first entry into WWE was filled with people telling him that he didn’t belong. The Miz came into WWE by way of MTV’s Real World and many thought that he didn’t deserve the opportunity.

“When I first came to WWE, I think everyone assumed — and I wasn’t out there telling everyone I was on the independent scene — I was on The Real World and that’s why I was there.”

“Everyone was like, ‘We don’t care who The Miz is. As a matter of fact, we don’t like The Miz, we don’t like Mike, we don’t like you. Period. You don’t belong here.’ I was always trying to find the right spot on the dial. I was turned up [as The Miz] for so long that when I got to WWE and I was at 100, WWE wanted me to take it down to like a 20. It takes time to develop that, it takes time to learn where you have to be and where you need to go.”

We’ll have to see what The Miz is able to accomplish next. He’s coming off of another WrestleMania where he was in a spotlight match. He also carried the WWE Title for a brief time prior to the event’s build. The Miz has accomplished a lot and he’s not finished, no matter what people told him in the past about how far he would make it in WWE.
