Kyle O’Reilly is enjoying a push on WWE NXT as he is now Cool Kyle in the wake of the Undisputed Era’s breakup. That split came very suddenly for them, but they knew that an impact needed to be made.

While speaking to Sean Waltman’s Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast, Kyle O’Reilly revealed how they made the decision to break up Undisputed Era. He said it did suck, but the decision was made in a very fast and sudden fashion. They came up with the idea to generate a lot of buzz with the faction’s split “literally within hours.”

“It was a true collaboration, in the sense of ‘OK, well then if we are doing this, then we have got to do it tonight at TakeOver. We’ll maximize the opportunity and get people to tune in on Wednesday to see why, what happened. We wanted to create more questions.”

“That’s how you want to end the show, something crazy happens and ‘What happened to UE?’ It is crazy how it all happened so fast and so suddenly; literally, within hours. ‘This is happening? Oh my God.’”

“It does suck, because this is the best thing that has ever happened in my career to be in this group with these guys. I have had the most fun and I’ve learned so much to become a better performer. Just because we split now, it just means the eventual reunion will be an even bigger deal, right?”

A reunion could be in the cards down the line, but the Undisputed Era are now doing their own thing. We’ll have to see what’s next for the four members of the UE. Fans will pay very close attention to their next moves on the black and gold brand.
