CM Punk has a lot of fans out there who would love to see him mix it up in the squared circle once again. He will tease the idea to his liking, but that doesn’t mean he is serious about it.

Many fans perked up when the Second City Savior said during Starrcast that he would be able to have a match with Will Ospreay. Since then Ospreay has responded and this generated some fan interest. There is, of course, interest within the fan base to see Punk face and number of opponents.

While speaking to Digital Spy, CM Punk said that while he doesn’t want to give false hope about a pro wrestling return. That being said, someone should ask him again at the end of summer.

“I don’t want to give people false hope in answering Ospreay. But he’s for sure somebody that I’ve never wrestled before that interests me a lot more than, I guess, the corporate side of professional wrestling nowadays. New and different things are going to interest me more than doing the same old, same old. I always need new goals.”

“I don’t know. Let’s see if he has it at the end of the summer and then ask me the question again.”

CM Punk is busy with one commitment after another as his acting career takes off. He is keeping in shape and apparently taking bumps in the ring again. We’ll have to see if the pro wrestling bug will bite CM Punk once again.
