WWE booking can be a bit frustrating at times, especially when matches end in disqualification on such a frequent basis. Vince McMahon really doesn’t seem to care about that as long as it fits his needs.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up the tendency that WWE has to end so many matches with non-finishes. This is irritating, but he explained that McMahon has his own way of considering television matches at this point and that’s not likely to change any time soon.
“Here’s the thing. They don’t care about DQ finishes and sh*t. He really doesn’t. That’s what he thinks TV wrestling is. You just do run-ins and DQs. That’s not going to change.”
WWE has a plan ready for when Vince McMahon steps down or can no longer perform his job duties. We’re not sure who would be doing which role, but they would likely split up responsibilities.
Vince McMahon has his own way of booking and he obviously loves using DQs as a tool to end a match, but not see any resolution in a storyline. That supposedly keeps fans coming back for more the next week, but history is proving that his booking strategy might need an update.
