WWE must be out of Tropicana Field because the Rays need their home field, but the company isn’t going far.

There is a lot of speculation around about where WWE will move the ThunderDome after April 5th, the final night they can hold an event at Tropicana Field. The Rays have a game against the New York Yankees on April 9th.

Ringside News can confirm that WWE will not be moving out of the Tampa Area for their next ThunderDome location. This has been independently confirmed by multiple sources.

The issue is that the exact location of the ThunderDome’s new home hasn’t been revealed. “I don’t know which facility in that area,” one tenured member of the creative team told us, “but we are supposedly continuing to be based out of the Tampa Bay area.”

There is thought that WWE might utilize the Yuengling Center, formerly known as the USF Sun Dome, but that has not been confirmed. That arena is a likely candidate.

We will continue monitoring this ongoing situation here at Ringside News.
