We are very sad to learn about the passing of Buddy Colt. The pro wrestling legend was 81-years-old.

We are uncertain about his cause of death at this time. The Cauliflower Alley Club was the first to announce his passing. He is survived by a wife and two daughters.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of the legendary Buddy Colt at the age of 81 years old. We send our sincerest condolences to his wife Lorraine, his two daughters, friends & fans the world over. R.I.P. Buddy, with love & respect you will be missed.

Colt was an influential part of building a pro wrestling tradition at the Omni, a top pro wrestling arena in the Southeast. He was a trailblazer and the pro wrestling business wouldn’t be the same today without his contributions. He was also a huge star in Florida in the mid-70s as a headliner.

Our thoughts are with Buddy Colt’s family and friends at this time.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
