Sonya Deville returned to television far before anyone expected her to be back. She is still involved in court trial where her stalker is facing charges due to a break-in around Summerslam last year. Deville has yet to wrestle since her return, but she has her eye on the roster.

Deville, who took on a role as Adam Pearce’s assistant, said she wants to see someone with passion in the locker room. She wants to see someone who needs to be there and they fight for it every single day. She could have a lot of pull considering her current position with management in storyline.

“I’ve been thinking about the Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania and all I want to see women’s division, men’s division, from the locker rooms as a whole — I wanna see someone with that burning passion. Someone who doesn’t want to be here, someone who needs to be here. Someone who fights every single week despite the controversy to be who they are. They color outside the lines. They think outside the box. That’s what I want with my talent — I want passion. Someone who can’t stand being second-best to anybody. I’m just saying, that’s what I would like to see. I’m not saying it doesn’t already exist, but just show it to me, show it to me.”

WWE did not book a women’s Elimination Chamber match this year as Ringside News exclusively reported. This disappointed a lot of fans. The planned RAW Women’s Title match needed to be switched out when Lacey Evans became pregnant.
