WWE held the Royal Rumble event on schedule, but there were a few people who couldn’t work the show.
According to Fightful Select, several names were planned for the Royal Rumble, but they were not used. Jey Uso was among those names. As we previously reported, Jey Uso was not medically cleared.
Jey Uso was featured on the graphic for the Royal Rumble match. He also cut a promo promising to go to RAW and challenge Drew McIntyre after winning the match.
Keith Lee and Robert Roode were also supposed to be in the Royal Rumble, but they were not there. It was also reported that Montez Ford was not an alternate for the match. He was there for his wife’s big moment in the Royal Rumble.
