Rey Mysterio signed new WWE deal over the summer that will keep him with the company for another three years. That isn’t’ as long as some newer contract, but Mr. 6-1-9 might now want to lock himself own for another five years.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Rey Mysterio openly discussed his new WWE contract. He didn’t really speak about it publicly until that point. He has no real plans to hang up his boots for good, but he is aware that Father Time will eventually catch up to him.

“We never made the signing of my new deal public, but there is definitely going to be more time to see Rey Mysterio in WWE. I’m going to keep wrestling, at least until Father Time catches up and says, ‘It’s time to go.’”

Rey Mysterio likely has many matches to go in WWE, and he is not done associating with his son Dominik as well. This could lead to a historic family rivalry, but only time will tell at this point.
