Conor McGregor has yet to show up in WWE, but fans often wonder what would happen if he did step in the squared circle. Sheamus would also be very interested to see it take place.

Sheamus recently spoke to Digital Spy, and the subject of Conor McGregor came up in the conversation. He would love to see the former UFC Champion in WWE, because he’s teased it a few times as well.

In the end, WWE and Conor McGregor are such a perfect match that it might be more about when it will happen than if.

“He’s teased [coming to WWE] a couple of times. He’s still staying active, he’s a lad who’s won belts, he’s done a lot, so I think he’s that type of person who’s always trying to try his hand at something different. I think WWE would suit him down to the ground. You know, we’ve had a lot of people come in and out, [Floyd] Mayweather came in, a lot of celebrities have come in, a lot of sports people. So I don’t think anyone would raise eyebrows if he came in to WWE. I don’t think it’s if, I think it’s a matter of when to be honest.”

When it comes to a potential match against Notorious, Sheamus is all about stepping in the squared circle with him. He also said that McGregor might get the fight of his life.

“If he wants to come in there with me, that’s grand. He might get the fight of his life there, he might get couple of slaps he’s not used to. But that’s what it’s all about, getting in there and seeing a different type of environment.”

You never know what can happen, especially when Vince McMahon opens up his checkbook. Conor McGregor’s reputation might also get pushed to the side if WWE is guaranteed to score a major payday by bringing in the controversial MMA figure.
