Chris Jericho revealed that he had COVID-19, possibly in September. This confused some fans because he didn’t miss any Dynamite appearances. They were apparently able to work things out as the timing allowed Le Champion not to miss a show.

Jericho appeared in four shows during September, but that was during a time when AEW was doing a lot of tapings. Dave Meltzer explained on Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW was off from the 11th to the 23rd of September. That 12-day period is when Jericho believes he became infected. He had no symptoms, but then he got back to television and passed his test after his quarantine.

“That’s exactly what happened; because they were off from I think it was the 11th to the 23rd. I know they went back whatever that Wednesday was. So, it was 12 days, and he believes he got it from a family friend is what I understand.”

“He had no symptoms and nobody in the family had any symptoms. The friend tested positive, so he went and checked and tested positive, and then tested again and tested positive. Actually he tested three times and tested positive. So quarantined, did not feel bad, the next TV he passed the test and worked the next TV after the quarantine was over.”

Chris Jericho tested positive a few times, but then he was cleared once he returned to AEW, where they do blood tests. This was a situation that could have been much worse, and thankfully, Jericho was able to pull through without suffering any of the terrible symptoms associated with the highly contagious virus.
