Liv Morgan Says It’s Important For WWE To Revisit Lesbian Romance Angle With Lana

Liv Morgan crashed Lana and Bobby Lashley’s wedding with a big reveal. She proclaimed her love for Lana, but that was a shocking moment with no follow-up planned at all. Almost one year later, fans are still asking for WWE to continue that storyline.

Lana recently said that WWE told her that they plan to revisit that angle with her and Liv Morgan. Ringside News then exclusively reported that is not in the plan at all at this time.

Inside The Ropes recently spoke to Liv Morgan about reviving that romantic angle. She expressed a desire to circle back around to that idea while stating how important it is to cover such subject matter.

“Me personally, I would love to touch on that story again, because I think it’s so important just to show not different people but, you know, ‘Hey, maybe I love this girl,’ you know, like, I think it’s important just to show that. But I don’t think you ever can ever say never in WWE. I think anything and everything is open to being visited again. Is that happening? I have no idea. But would I like it? For sure. But it was a very crazy experience.”

“I think it was definitely split half and half and I think that’s because… I think people today, they want real representation. They want like… Characters are characters, but they want people that are really maybe experiencing these things to represent these characters. So I feel like, in that aspect, maybe it didn’t go over so well towards some people that felt like Lana’s secret lover could have been someone else that was maybe really into women, you know, but then on the other spectrum, this was my re-debut after like eight months off. So people were excited to see me and they were happy for me. But there was definitely that split with the audience, people that were loving it and people that didn’t like it.”

WWE has a lot of options as they enter a new year. They didn’t have any plans for Lana and Liv Morgan as they entered 2020, but a lot of things can change in a year.

Paul Heyman had a mixed tag team match penciled into his original pitch for WrestleMania 36. That would have seen Rusev and Liv Morgan take on Bobby Lashley and Lana to conclude the angle.

Lana is on RAW right now, and Liv Morgan is with Ruby Riott again on SmackDown. We’ll have to see what WWE’s plan is for the future, but Liv Morgan and Lana are both game for WWE to pair them back up in a scandalous romance.
