Mike Bennett was released from WWE on April 15th, and he didn’t know if he wanted to continue wrestling. He spoke to TV Insider recently where he credited his wife Maria Kanellis in being someone he leaned on throughout. He debuted for ROH, and he compared his return to a homecoming.

When asked about his current contract status, Bennett revealed they are on a per-appearance agreement right now. That could change as the world settles down a bit.

It’s per appearance [while] everyone is trying to figure out what’s going on with the world. I’m there. That’s my home. I love it there. I love my family there. It will take a lot for me to leave again. I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Mike Bennett didn’t wrestle for a while after his WWE release. There weren’t many indie events for him to work, but he did have a stellar NWA World Title match against Nick Aldis.

Bennett seems very happy to be back in ROH after such a hard release from WWE.
