Young took a ruthless fight to Swann throughout the match, but Rich Swann did not stay down despite EY screaming in his face to do so. Eric Young targeted Rich Swann’s neck and ankle during the match, but Swann’s determination carried him through.

In the end, Swann hit a pair of cutters and a Phoenix Splash off the top rope to win the Impact Wrestling World Title. After his victory, the locker room spilled out to celebrate with him.

Interestingly enough, Swann’s wife Su Yung won the Knockouts Title from Deonna Purrazzo in the match just before that. It was a big night for them.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
