The COVID-19 pandemic is still going and it reached NXT in big way. There is now reportedly an outbreak in the black and gold brand.

Positive tests started coming in on September 9th, and they were reportedly still coming in as of this last weekend. Now WWE has to figure out what to do, and some are going with a classic tactic: denial.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that there are some in the company who are saying that nothing happened. He elaborated on this point while mentioning the conflicting stories.

“Some people are saying that nothing happened, but there’s enough out there and at the show tonight people were talking about it and other people have been talking about it on the main roster, and the NXT roster so there’s something there.”

We’ll have to see who is available for the next few weeks of NXT action. It was previously reported that WWE held off on the big Gauntlet Eliminator announcement because they were unsure who would be available.
