The Shield was Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose. Now only 2/3 of that faction is still under WWE’s roof. That makes a reunion very hard, but not impossible.

WWE has seen several Superstars return to the company after a hiatus. This could always be the case for Moxley eventually. If anything, fans would love to see that intellectual property of The Hounds Of Justice return.

During a recent Q&A with Mania Club, Roman Reigns said that Moxley really “screwed up” any Shield reunion possibilities when he left for AEW. He said that the company went back to the well for the Shield too many times in recent memory anyway.

“Well I guess Ambrose or Moxley really screwed that up, didn’t he? He messed around and just left us. I don’t think The Shield will ever be recreated or brought back. That’s not just a situation because Mox went to AEW. It’s just, we were so good. Honestly, I think we did the reunion thing a little too much the last… three years ago or whatever it was. I don’t even know if it’s worth revisiting that unless we disappear for like half a decade, and then out of nowhere you hear the music.”

If WWE wants the Shield’s music to mean something more then they might want to change Roman Reigns’ current entrance song. This could also set him apart from his former Big Dog character as the Tribal Chief.

We’ll have to see if a Shield reunion is possible 5 years down the line. Perhaps that might be the soonest WWE has a chance to pry Moxley from AEW.
