During The Dark Order’s match, Jim Ross asked if Anna Jay had a wardrobe malfunction or “maybe that’s just wishful thinking.” Some fans didn’t think that was funny at all.

Ross soon saw his mentions flooded with upset fans because of what he said. The WWE Hall Of Famer promptly got on Twitter and addressed this statement. He apologized to those he offended and encouraged them to lighten up as well.

Didn’t mean to offend anyone on the wardrobe malfunction line.

Weak attempt at humor.

Now lighten up.

For the record, Anna Jay did not actually have a wardrobe malfunction. You can watch the clip below to hear the line in context.

That “weak attempt at humor” from Jim Ross is nothing compared to the one-liners that Jerry “The King” Lawler used to fire off while sitting next to him on commentary. Jim Ross certainly didn’t see this reaction coming or he would have kept that controversial phrase to himself.
