Cardona said it was the first time he’s been in the ring since March. He used #AlwayzReady all the time, but he had to back it up on Dynamite this week. It was also great to be in the ring with a friend like Cody.

“It’s no secret that Cody and I are friends. In this business there are a lot of acquaintances, but very few friends. Cody has my back. Last week I had his back, and now that I’m here we’re going to have each other’s backs way more often.”

A heel turn could be in line when someone makes a debut while talking about how great of a friend they are. We’ll have to see how this progresses because we all know how things turned out for Cody and Shawn Spears.

Cardona’s AEW debut also came with pyrotechnics which he was very happy about as well. He even sent out a tweet to express how excited he was to receive that little bonus during his entrance.

We’ll have to see what’s next for Matt Cardona in AEW, but he doesn’t seem to have any plans of leaving.
