Eddie Kingston Gets Thumbtacks Involved In AEW TNT Title Open Challenge

AEW promised a big surprise for Cody Rhodes’ AEW TNT Open Challenge. They definitely delivered for a lot of fans.

Eddie Kingston came out and challenged Cody Rhodes for the TNT Title. They had a brutal match and Kingston fought for his life. They put over on commentary how he had to sell his wrestling boots to pay his rent. Excalibur said that Kingston bought new boots when hearing about this match on Dynamite.

Eddie Kingston got thumbtacks involved at one point. Cody ended the match with a back full of tacks after taking a bump thanks to Kingston. He fought hard, but Eddie Kingston lost via submission.

Eddie Kingston received a great ovation and fans were very happy with this performance. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him back in AEW again down the line.
