Update On Rey Mysterio’s Eye Injury From WWE Extreme Rules

WWE Horror Show at Extreme Rules featured a match with a very gruesome stipulation. The Eye For An Eye match was a very interesting situation because someone needed to lose an eye.

Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio battled in that Eye For An Eye match. It ended with Mysterio losing an eye and Rollins vomiting all over the ringside area.

During the Extreme Rules show, they provided an update on Mysterio’s injury. It was said that he was transported to a local medical facility for evaluation. The damage Mysterio suffered reportedly did not reverse his optic nerve. He has a higher chance of his eyesight being restored.

They didn’t provide any specifics when it comes to recovery time. He could be out for a while. Another determining factor could be if he is willing to sign new contract.
