The main event of Slammiversary promised a mystery opponent. That person was supposed to be a returning champion. There were a few options available, but they made one choice for the spot.

Impact thought that they were going to pull one over on fans. Rich Swann came out as the 4th mystery competitor in the main event match. He was returning from injury. Then another mystery opponent made his return.

Eric Young returned to Impact Wrestling and quickly grabbed the microphone. He called himself a “world class surprise.” Then he announced that the match was now an elimination five-way.

Impact Wrestling brought a few surprises into the company. The Good Brothers are around. Heath Slater is in the mix now and playing up a “free agent” angle where he’s not allowed to be in the building. Now Eric Young is back as well.
