Brock Lesnar dropped the WWE Title at WrestleMania, and there aren’t any plans for him to return any time soon.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Brock Lesnar was never booked for SummerSlam at any point in time. Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this was the plan since before WrestleMania.

It was further noted that one of the main reasons Lesnar put McIntyre over as he did was to write him out of the picture for a while.

Lesnar is not scheduled for this year’s SummerSlam show. One of the reasons he put over McIntyre so strongly was because he was not coming back any time soon. Heyman has not been brought to television since he was let go as head of Raw creative.

Brock Lesnar will be back in WWE. He wasn’t in any discussion for SummerSlam, and Paul Heyman’s absence could play into a lot of factors with the Beast Incarnate as well.

When Lesnar does return it’s likely that he will make a lot of noise in the process. Given the current pandemic situation and Lesnar’s price tag it might be best to hold off on his next performance.
