It was explained at the beginning of the broadcast that Taz will be sitting in for Tony Schiavone. It was said that Schiavone was waiting on his COVID-19 test results. They explained that he hasn’t tested positive, but he hadn’t received his test results in time.

AEW keeps very strict testing protocol and procedure. Anyone must pass a COVID-19 test before they are permitted to enter their bubble. Tony Schiavone would have been there if he could, but as Taz said during Fyter Fest AEW doesn’t “run sloppy shop.”
