WWE’s red brand was running with full steam under Paul Heyman’s leadership. He was building new Superstars and introduced a couple to the world. Then they vanished.

Fans wondered what happened to Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne. The two were in a tag team led by MVP, but then they were suddenly off television completely.

Ringside News has learned that Vink and Thorne were dropped from their television angle because they were Paul Heyman projects. Vince McMahon’s edict to use established Superstars meant Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne didn’t fit into his new system.

It was additionally told to us that the list of Superstars in a similar situation includes “Ricochet, Cedric, Shayna, Vink, Thorne, the list goes on and on.” Obviously, Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman had different visions.
