Drew Gulak’s WWE contract ran out, but he wasn’t gone for long. This was an interesting situation.

Gulak and WWE couldn’t work out a deal so he allowed his contract to expire. Then his agent Barry Bloom was able to figure out a deal with WWE.

It was stated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Gulak signed a multi-year contract. It was not noted how many years his contract is for. WWE contracts are typically three or five years. You never know what kind of new deals they are signing during a pandemic.

It was also reported that some people tried to contact Gulak about working indie shows after the pandemic levels off. They could tell by his response that he had already made his decision to sign somewhere.

Drew Gulak is also back on SmackDown after both sides agreed to terms for a multi-year deal. During the week, some people we know had tried to contact him for dates and he turned people down and the word going around was that he clearly had a destination
