Matt Hardy decided to do what was best for him creatively. He left WWE and is now in AEW where he has much more creative input. The way Booker T sees things he totally approves of that move.

On his Hall Of Fame radio show, Booker T discussed Matt Hardy’s decision to leave WWE. He stated that Hardy is making more money to work less dates. If you add in the creative freedom that Hardy is going to experience that sounds like a much better deal.

“Matt Hardy said it was a huge decision to make, but he thought it was the right decision. Less days, more money, less stress. That sounds good to me.”

“Matt Hardy is not a young guy, he is in the twilight years of his career.”

“To finish it the way you want to finish it, and it don’t hurt to get some good paper for it as well, and the time off? I don’t think Matt Hardy could have been one of those part timers and made the salary he wanted or make the impact he wanted to make. I say it definitely was the right thing for Matt Hardy to do.”

Matt Hardy has only been a part of two AEW Dynamite episodes so far. He has already created a lot of attention for himself.

Hardy is financially set for life, so he didn’t need to money. He is in AEW because he wants to show the world what kind of ideas he’s been holding onto for the last few years.
