WWE likes to change a Superstar’s name when they see fit. It looks like they did it again. This time with 1/2 of the Raw Tag Team Champions.
Post Wrestling reports that WWE has changed Buddy Murphy’s name. He is now just “Murphy.”
Murphy is still aligned with Seth Rollins and the AOP on Raw. The alternation was confirmed by Post Wrestling through multiple sources. Now it looks like Murphy will be his only name moving forward.
Sometimes WWE will shorten someone’s name because it is more marketable. This could be a good sign for Murphy. Only time will tell.
They already made this change to the WWE website which you can see below.
