Last night, Andrade was able to shock quite a lot of people when he won the United States Championship at Madison Square Garden, defeating Rey Mysterio in the process.

We’ve seen WWE allow titles to change hands on house shows in the past, but it’s certainly a rare occurrence. Andrade is one of the fastest rising stars in all of professional wrestling, not just WWE, and many believe this has been a long time coming for the Mexican star.

The man himself took to Twitter in order to celebrate the win – seemingly sending a message to the rest of the roster in the process.

Andrade claimed that this is only the beginning of his rise to prominence by indicating that they will “go for more”. While it seems unlikely that this will kickstart a storyline in which he attempts to gain as many titles as possible, that would definitely be something a bit ‘different’ and out there.

Andrade and Zelina Vega work best as a team, and fans will be happy to see that it doesn’t look like they’re going to be going their separate ways anytime soon. Instead, Vega will continue to assist Andrade in the hope that this midcard title reign will allow him to go from strength to strength.

There’s an argument to be made that the US title hasn’t been relevant since it was held by the likes of John Cena and Rusev, giving Andrade a chance to really shine in this role over the next few weeks and months.
