WWE has a lot of promising Superstars on their roster who haven’t debuted on the USA Network yet. Former EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory is certainly one of them.

Before NXT kicked off live on the USA Network this week they held two dark matches. Shane Thorne defeated Sean Maluta in the second match, but the first match was very interesting to see.

Roderick Strong defended the NXT North American Title against Austin Theory before NXT started. Strong retained his title against Theory. This is very interesting considering the fact that Theory hasn’t even debuted on television yet.

Perhaps this is a sign that they are trying something out for Austin Theory. He has worked dark matches before NXT went live in the past. It might not be very long until fans start seeing him perform after the show goes live.
