WWE has plenty of cities who would love to host their big events. The company considers Florida their home in a lot of way since the WWE Performance Center resides there. It turns out that Orange County in Florida really wants another WWE event as well.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Orange County Florida has approved $125,000 to help entice WWE to bring more major shows to their market. They will use tax dollars intended to help tourism development to get either a SummerSlam or a Survivor Series event.

The approved funding $75,000 to get SummerSlam in either 2020, 2021 or 2022, and $50,000 to get Survivor Series over the same next three years. They estimated that SummerSlam would bring $6 million in total economic impact to the city and Survivor Series would bring $4 million

If $125,000 in spending can help them pull in $4-6 million then that is a very nice payoff for their efforts. We’ll have to see if this works, but we might see a big event coming to Orlando soon enough thanks to those tax dollars.
