AEW will have another pay-per-view in the first quarter of 2020, but we don’t know when it will take place yet.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW has held off on announcing the date of their next pay-per-view to avoid competition. They want to get closer to the date and make sure that they won’t have any big UFC or boxing events opposing them.

“That’s the thing, you don’t wanna go head to head with a big boxing and you don’t want to go head to head with a big UFC. So, that’s why we don’t have an exact date on when that show’s gonna be. Perhaps, no matter when they do it WWE will try to counter as well.”

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury have set a rematch on February 22nd, 2020. This is a date that AEW probably wants to stay away from. UFC also has two February dates scheduled for the 15th and the 23rd.

We’ll have to see when AEW gets around to announcing their next pay-per-view event. They will have four year which means they probably have a couple of months of build left before the next offering. They might need to announce a date eventually though regardless of competition.
