Welcome to Ringside News’ live results coverage for AEW Dynamite.

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite is set to be a loaded show, seemingly in an attempt to regain some lost viewership. So the main event tonight will be another bout between Joey Janela and Jon Moxley, which should be a violent one.

Elsewhere tonight, The Young Bucks team with Dustin Rhodes to battle Santana, Ortiz, and Sammy Guevara of The Inner Circle. Rhodes returned last week and attacked the men who helped “break” his arm a few weeks ago, while The Bucks have been attacked relentlessly by Proud & Powerful.

Other confirmed segments for tonight are Kris Statlander Vs. Hikaru Shida, Christopher Daniels Vs. Pentagon Jr., Trent Vs. Fenix, and promos from Chris Jericho and Brandi Rhodes. And that’s the preview. Follow along on the Ringside News app, on our Instagram, or our Twitter. Enjoy the show!

Dustin and Nick both dodge a running Sammy, Matt tags in and they hit a triple-team Hart Attack. Proud and Powerful run in to make the save but they get knocked from the ring, then Rhodes and The Bucks have a Superkick Party with Sammy.

The heels isolate Matt Jackson in their corner, making use of quick tags to keep him down. Santana gets Matt up for a stalling suplex, tags Ortiz and he takes over the suplex, then a tag to Sammy and he takes over the suplex. Matt shimmies out of the suplex and drops Sammy to make a tag to Dustin. Rhodes attacks the now-legal Sammy, then Ortiz and Guevara come in and he hits them with snap powerslams. Rhodes bends over and pretends like he needs a breather.

Rhodes knocks down all three heels with a twisting crossbody from the top rope! “You still got it!” chants from the crowd, before Rhodes hits a Canadian Destroyer to Santana but Ortiz breaks the pinfall attempt. Rhodes wants to hit Santana with the Unnatural Kick in the corner but the referee stops him, saying it’s illegal. Ortiz runs in and cracks Dustin with the baseball sock. Guevara heads up-top and hits a 430 splash but Rhodes kicks out!

Dustin tags Nick Jackson, who wipes out Sammy with a series of strikes and a bulldog. Jackson floats over Guevara and Matt runs in to spear him. Nick knocks Santana and Ortiz from the apron, then they hit stereo 450’s/moonsaults for a near-fall. Nick superkicks Ortiz on the outside, then Santana dives onto him. Guevara puts Nick back in the ring and The Inner Circle hit a diving knee drop/powerbomb but Rhodes breaks it up.

Santana and Ortiz takes Rhodes out of the ring and beat him down. Guevara grabs his phone from his jacket and climbs the top rope while he films himself. He looks for a shooting star press but gets caught with two superkicks at the same time. The Bucks put Sammy in the corner and Dustin films as they hit the Unnatural Kick and superkicks. Rhodes lifts Santana in a Tombstone, Matt lifts Ortiz in one as well, and Nick hits a dropkick to both as they drive the Tombstones down and Nick lands on Sammy. Nick covers Guevara for the win.

Cody makes his way to the ring, where Tony Schiavone is waiting. Tony asks Cody about getting ambushed last week, and about MJF. Cody has a big scar and bump above his left eye and he says that scar reminds him of failure. Losing the AEW Championship match was a failure. And then last week he was beaten by another unknown quantity and when he reached out his hand, his usual friends weren’t there.

Cody says his brother has gotten himself into a blood feud with The Young Bucks. His wife is out there cutting off the hair of defenceless women. And his best friend, MJF, kicked him in the balls at AEW Full Gear. As for the Blade, Bunny, and Butcher, Cody says he’s familiar with them and if they had just asked for a match he would have given it to them. But he understands pomp and circumstance, just look at his entrance. So if they want to go this route, they can do just that. Cody says they can even pick his partner.

MFJ though? Cody says he hand-picked Maxwell from obscurity when nobody else wanted him. He says others thought MJF was too short or that he was hood-rich and that his scarf was a fake, which it is. Cody calls MJF a butch-league, NWO-version of Chris Jericho and says he does the worst Cross Rhodes in wrestling, “so at least that move is being butchered on two channels now”. He says he knows MJF is a bad guy, but he always thought he was his bad guy.

Cody asks MJF what it will take? He pulls out his SUV keys and says that car is one of 300, MJF loves it, well he can have it. Cody tosses the keys onto the mat, then takes off a watch given to him by Tony Khan and does the same with it. Cody then takes off his Louis Vetton shoes and throws them onto the pile and instructs Justin Roberts to bring a briefcase into the ring. The briefcase contains $50,000 in cash and, to prove it’s real, he gives a kid in the crowd one of the bills. That cash and everything else is MJF’s if he agrees to fight. “We’re waiting!”

Joey Janela is interviewed backstage and asked why he chose to fight Jon Moxley tonight. Janela says that he was one of the first people to sign an AEW contract but he feels overlooked. He says he needs to make a name for himself. He asks Jon Moxley if he remembers AEW Fyter Fest and says this time it’s different because the lights are on and he’ll have to kill him. Moxley walks up and rubs his face, then says “kids”, and walks off.

During the commercial break, Nyla Rose powerbombed the referee through a table, then Shanna onto him. She’s been suspended.

Le Champion, Chris Jericho, comes to the ring with Jake Hager. Jericho insults the city before hocking his new champagne and says it has sold 12000 bottles already. Jericho says the snake oil salesman in charge of AEW have informed him that he’s contractually obligated to have one more match in 2019. However he has the option to choose his opponent, so he put together a little list – which got a big pop – and he tells them to get out of 2016. He says this is not The List, this is The Lexicon of Le Champion. And on this Lexicon is everyone he refuses to wrestle in 2019: Jon Moxley, Cody, The Young Bucks, Uncle Buck, Hangman Page, Diamond Dallas Page, Paige, Scorpio Sky, Too Cold Scorpio, any member of The Scorpions, Moxley, Kenny Omega, Kenny Ortega, Kenny from South Park, Moxley, some guy in the crowd, another guy in the crowd, Evil Uno, Angry Deus, Hateful Tres, Moxley, and…

Jungle Boy comes out on the shoulders of Luchasauras, with Marko Stunt in tow. The Jurassic Express come to the ring and stare at Le Champion. Jericho says they didn’t let him finish, because also on the list was dinosaurs, or little children. Luchasauras takes the mic and growls. Then he asks if that’s what Jericho thinks he sounds like. He says that’s because dinosaurs have been marginalised for 65 million years. He bets Jericho didn’t know he has a masters degree in Medieval History. He rhymes off a few people from history and asks Jericho if he’s heard of them. “Didn’t think so.” As for Marko Stunt, Luchasauras says he might be small for his age but he’s more man than Jericho will ever be.

Jericho says, first of all, Marko Stunt is small for any age. And he already said he isn’t facing either of them, so they must be talking about Jungle Boy. Jericho calls him by his real name and says he couldn’t last ten minutes with him. Y2J says that Jungle Boy is a piece of shit. Jungle Boy takes the microphone and says he knows he could last ten minutes, then slaps Jericho in the face. A brawl breaks out, with Jungle Boy dropkicking Jericho from the ring and Luchasaura knocking Hager outside. Jericho throws a tantrum on the outside and yells that he’ll see Jungle Boy on December 18th, so the match is set.

Kris Statlander Vs. Hikaru Shida

The match gets underway with Statlander getting taken down in a leglock but she kips up and out. Kris considers herself an alien – she’d have a lot in common with Luchasauras. Statlander does cartwheels to get out of a wristlock, then pokes Shida in the head.

*Commercial Break*

We return to see Shida hit Statlander with a running knee strike on the outside. She sends her back into the ring and hits a missile dropkick for a near-fall. Winner: kris statlander

As soon as the match ends, the lights go out. Brandi and Kong come down the ramp. Brandi says that people often hate what they don’t understand. And people have been hating on them because they don’t understand why they do what they do. They get into the ring and Rhodes says that she and Kong are part of The Nightmare Collective. They’re part of a larger family and they do the jobs that others don’t want to. Brandi says she had no business with Kris Statlander but seeing as she’s here, she might have something for her. Brandi offers Statlander a position within The Nightmare Collective if she pledges her allegiance right now. Kong stares at Statlander but suddenly a “fan” at ringside yells that she will pledge. The girl gets brought onto the ramp and offers-up her hair. Kong cuts it off, then her ponytail as well. We head to the break mid-segment.
