WWE Backstage had a big surprise for fans if they stayed up after midnight. They didn’t even tease a surprise let alone CM Punk, but the viewership still saw a huge improvement from last week.

According to Showbuzz Daily, WWE Backstage pulled in 100,000 viewers this week. That might not be a ton of people, but it’s far better than the 49,000 fans who watched last week.

WWE Backstage pulled in 426,000 viewers when it aired after SmackDown on FS1. Keep in mind that was at 10:00 PM EST and they only pulled in 888,000 viewers for Friday Night SmackDown that week. They garnered over 597,000 viewers in their first preview episode after game three of the ALCS.

Hopefully, with CM Punk confirmed for next week’s show even more fans will tune in. It will definitely be interesting to hear what CM Punk has to say.
