NXT has a live two-hour show on the USA Network every week. This is a big change from the former one-hour taped show on the WWE Network, especially since AEW: Dynamite is opposing them.

They didn’t get far into the first night of head-to-head competition until WWE realized they need to move NXT to a larger building. The 400 seat Full Sail Arena is NXT’s home, but it doesn’t stack up to the arenas that AEW is playing on a weekly basis.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE is considering taking NXT’s weekly television tapings on the road. They plan to start playing 5,000 – 6,000 seat arenas and that plan could start as early as January.

There is a lot of talk regarding taking NXT on the road every Wednesday and looking at 5,000-seat buildings, similar to AEW. The target seems to be January, because WWE has inquired about buildings of that size to shoot television on Wednesday nights.

It will be interesting to see if they jump the gun on that and start moving out of Full Sail Arena earlier. WWE already has tickets listed every Wednesday at Full Sail Arena through December, so they might not want to break that commitment either.
