Lio Rush Returns To WWE Television On NXT In A Big Way

Lio Rush was removed from WWE’s main roster months ago. He was Bobby Lashley’s hypeman until backstage heat apparently put a stop to that. Now he is getting a fresh start in NXT.

Lio Rush faced Oney Lorcan for a #1 contender spot for the Cruiserweight Title. Rush received huge “Welcome back” chants from the crowd, but that didn’t convince Oney Lorcan to go easy on Rush at all.

In the end, Lio Rush won the match to become the new #1 Contender for Drew Gulak’s WWE Cruiserweight Title. This was a huge win to claim a lot of redemption for the Man Of The Hour.
