When Jon Moxley showed up at AEW’s Double Or Nothing a lot of people were very surprised, but it was not too shocking for others. Who got the ball rolling to bring Moxley in?

Fans had expected and hoped for Moxley’s AEW debut and it happened. This is one of the main reasons why it keeps upsetting certain fans who remain hopeful that CM Punk is on his way too.

Mature Audiences Mayhem spoke to Chris Jericho recently who is another huge name that landed in AEW. He revealed that it’s possible his name helped gain a TNT deal, but he definitely had a hand in bringing in Jon Moxley because he admitted to recruiting him.

“If not for Chris Jericho being involved, maybe we don’t get the deal with TNT. We don’t get Jon Moxley, who I recruited, or Sammy Guevara, Dean Malenko, a couple of guys you haven’t even seen yet. So I think that, maybe [I’m] not the greatest of all-time, but the best longevity at staying at the top level in all of these different eras and influencing quite a few of them, I don’t know if there are too many people who have done that as much as I have.”

Jon Moxley is set to be finished with his MRSA recovery by October 2nd’s TNT debut. As it turns out Moxley’s involvement with AEW was apparently started through Y2J. Now it seems that we have another thing to thank Jericho for.
