WWE made a big change to their writing staff over the past couple of days and it could go on to change a lot.

Ryan Ward is now on a temporary absence which means he’s off SmackDown Live where he was previously the lead writer. Now Ed Kosky will move over from Raw to fill his position. Jonathan Baeckstrom will now be the lead writer on Raw and will come over from 205 Live to work with Paul Heyman.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Baeckstrom has already been working with Heyman over the last couple of weeks and wasn’t on 205 Live much at all.

All of these scattered writers everywhere has to be confusing as so many people are going to get adjusted to new roles at the same time. When The Wrap reached out to WWE concerning this matter, they declined to comment in a very interesting way.

When the company was asked about this event, they responded with: “We don’t comment on employee matters.”

It will be very interesting to see how all of the writers adjust to their new roles with the company at the same time. Hopefully, they can get through this transition without anyone more writers getting caught sleeping on the job.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
