AEW has a lot of talented wrestlers on their roster and we will likely see plenty more signings announced soon enough. After all, Cody Rhodes said that fans only know about 40% of the wrestlers AEW intends on signing.

Orange Cassidy’s signing concerned some people because he could turn off some newer fans to AEW if they’re giving them a shot. However, it seems like AEW has a plan of how they will use the pro wrestler who doesn’t like to wrestle.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that AEW has said that the way they intend on using Orange Cassidy won’t bother most fans. It also really seemed to help that Orange Cassidy got over huge in an ad sales meeting.

We were told that based on the plans they have for him, that he’s going to be booked in a manner that people won’t mind and it will be entertaining to most. There was also an ad sales meeting with TNT where Cassidy was brought up and the response was extremely favorable

If Orange Cassidy becomes the freshly squeezed mascot for an actual orange juice company because of his involvement with AEW on TNT then that could be just about the best thing ever. It could certain be a great reason to keep him on television.

We’ll just have to see how AEW plans on using Orange Cassidy, but he is still very likely to be incredibly popular with the live AEW crowd. Hopefully, that popularity translates on a national level as well.
