RAW this week saw a big title change as The IIconics lost their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. The fact it was a big change is only true in the fact that they held the titles for so long and not in regards to the titles’ importance.

After all, Vince McMahon didn’t even want WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in the first place.

Dave Meltzer explained on Wrestling Observer Live that Vince McMahon decided to hold the planned Women’s Tag Team Title match on RAW instead of Summerslam because they would get more time. Then again, you never really know what he will decide next.

“The Women’s Tag Team was put on RAW to give it more time and not have it lost on the pay-per-view.”

“Who knows what’s going to happen? You’ve got a guy who changes his mind every minute.”

Vince McMahon is seemingly slipping into a chasm of booking madness that someone needs to pull him out of. This also isn’t the best look for a company that wants to still cling to the Women’s Revolution while not featuring those titles in a bigger way.

We’ll have to see how much of a focus Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross will receive as champions, but the company didn’t get off to the best start so far.
